Sunday Shopping
Back to basics on this one … every now and then I get frustrated because I don’t have a theme or a plot or a ‘show’ styled vlog that is all the rage in vlogging now-a-days. I have to remind myself that DavidMeade.com’s vlog got started back when none of that mattered and it was nearly frowned upon, and that I can’t let a concept of ‘ratings’ make me shy away from vlogging.
So, this is an old school, “mundane is the new punk”, style vlog … better to post nothing than to not post at all.

Dave, You’re terrible!
At least try to make the damn thing now that you’ve spent the money. How will you ever know if you were able if you didn’t try? You know you’re gonna order one and spend more otherwise, and who knows? Follow the directions and it just might work, thus saving you the expense of ordering one. You know if I were there I’d help…wish I had time to play with foam!

Ah, the lengths we go to to give ourselves an excuse to go shopping for ready-made consumer electronics…
And look at it this way: at least you got the whole “could i have made this if I’d wanted to?” thing out of your system for another few months.
Those handy crafty fascists! Damn them for making us feel guilty for buying stuff ready-made. Some of us just aren’t cut out for that crap. If God had wanted me to make things with my own hands, he wouldn’t have given me broadband internet.
Anyway, I’m really glad you’re vlogging again. I love your vlogs. And YEAH! Screw the format! Mundane is the new punk!

Dump the mic flag. Put a listing in Craigslist LA for a B Rate wannabe actress that will host your vlog and look pretty for the Internet. Put that mid west charm to good use and good luck!

First, “better to post nothing than to not post at all” that makes oh so no sense.
Second… fuck “shows”. That’s my new slogan. Get inspiration from rupert, Cheryl, and David Howell and just vlog life 30 seconds to 3 minutes at a time… don’t edit it, slap an intro and an outtro. Enjoy the ease. Learn from it not editing how to be more susinct and communicate better. Spend less time vlogging. Get more out of it.
