2003 – day 1

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had an enjoyable and safe New Year’s celebration – complete with champaign and that song that nobody really knows….’old ang sign’?

Actually, I’ve always found it kinda odd that NOBODY seems to know this song (“Auld Lang Syne”). (I don’t know it either…I’m not scolding…just making an observation.) So I did some research for you, the faithful visitors of davidmeade.com, and – as it turns out – there is a very good reason nobody knows the words to “Auld Lang Syne” … It’s not really English.

It’s kinda English…kinda… I mean there is some English words in there…but its actually old school Scottish. Well anyway – see for yourself: Auld Lang Syne Lyrics

I have very little to report this morning…but so far 2003 has been very good to me (the entire 3-4 hours of it I’ve been both awake and sober).

My last blog had a teaser about my sharing my resolutions…but the truth is I haven’t nailed them down just yet. (I don’t usually get that done till about the end of the first week.)

I’m sure one of those resolutions will be “eat healthy”…but today is hang over food day…so I’m of to McDonald’s!
