where to begin…
a hard day’s night
Today is a hard day. And like most hard days it has a good night behind it.
Last night I went to The Wrightwood Tap with the folks from the new office. They all reinforced my first impression – they are all really cool people. It was a good time…and a late evening.
Now, I don’t get bad hang overs usually – it’s a gift. (I expect this to change in the years to come as I used to never get them at all) But I woke up this morning at about 6:30 and couldn’t move – despite a desperate need for water and excedrin – until about 7:30.
I spent most of the morning thinking things like “maybe if I move slower my eyes will hurt less”. In fact I didn’t put in my contacts until I got into work. This – as it turns out – is quite a trick. See…I’m blind as a bat…and my glasses are broke. (I call them “the ghetto glasses” – they only have one temple.) So I couldn’t wear my glasses out in public. I stumbled to the L – blind -, listened for my stop, and found my way to my office – smiling at everyone I passed because I coudnt see them well enough to know if I should recognize them or not.
I’m feeling nearly human again now, but I’m about to go in search of water and excedrin again. Small price to pay I guess for a good night on the town.
And on the 7th day, David created email.
In a developing story, I should be able to check davidmeade.com email at work soon (sometime later today). I was going crazy there for a while. But fear not, I am once again as connected as I ever was (or at least I’m hours from being so).
same bat time same bat channel
Keep your eyes on davidmeade.com, I’m planning on updating the News soon…and I think today may be a double header in BLOGs (maybe).
NOTE: I don’t have a BLOG spell checker installed on this computer. (And – for those of you who don’t know – I’m the worst speller since the dawn of man) So please remeber that correct spelling and grammar are implied here at davidmeade.com
